Elizabeth Olsen (Actor)

Elizabeth Olsen, born Feb. 16, 1989, is an American actress who has starred in several Marvel movies as the Scarlet Witch. She is the younger sister of “Full House” actresses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Elizabeth Olsen acted in television projects with her sisters as a child, then graduated from New York University. Her first film role was in “Martha Marcy May Marlene,” and she also starred in the horror film “Silent House.” She went on to appear in independent films including “Kill Your Darlings” and “Oldboy” before moving into studio films with “Godzilla” in 2014.

Alternating between art films such as “Wind River” and “Ingrid Goes West” and big-budget movies, she joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” playing Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch. After appearing the post-credits scene of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” she went on to co-star in “Captain America: Civil War,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” “Avengers: Endgame” and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.” Her performance in the TV miniseries “Wandavision” brought her Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. She played housewife Candy Montgomery in HBO Max’s limited series “Love and Death,” based on a true story. She is married to musician Robbie Arnett.
